借鉴国际上优秀的外语教材编写理念与编写模式,这在当前汉语国际推广的新形势下有其必要性和显著意义。《积极英语阅读》和《成功英语阅读策略》是从国外引进、在中国大陆畅销的两套面向中学生的英语阅读教材,加强对这样"入乡随俗"的国际英语阅读教材的研究是提高对外汉语阅读教材编写质量的一条重要途径。

It is necessary and significant to learn from the compilation principles and modes of good international foreign-language textbooks while promoting the popularization of Chinese all over the world. Active Skills for Reading and Comprehension Plus are two good English textbooks from abroad and now very popular with the middle schools in the mainland of China. This paper gives a comprehensive analysis of the merits of these two reading textbooks, which should help improve the compilation of relevant textbooks, especially country-specific Chinese reading-textbooks.
