论民族的三个基本属性

On Nationality's Three Basic Dimensions

民族是人类不同群体生物性、文化性与建构性的三位统一体。生物性是指由血缘、地缘相结合的生物属性;文化性是指由生计方式、语言文字、社会制度、风俗习惯和宗教信仰组成的文化因子及其价值观的文化属性;建构性是在当代族群生存境遇受到挑战的背景下人类不同群体重新反思"民族"并由此建构民族身份的建构性。目前,随着全球经济社会一体化加速而带来的民族的生物性和文化性不断弱化、建构性强化时,民族这种共同体就已经走在衰落的路上。

Nationality is a constructed concept ba~;ed on the biological and cultural characteristics of different eth- nic groups. Among them, biological one refers to blood and loci while cultural one includes livelihoods, languages, social systems, customs and religious beliefs, and ＂construction＂ means people rethink the definition of ＂national- ity＂ and their own ethnic identities when the exi^tenee of ＂nationalities＂ is challenged nowadays. With the accel- erating globalization and corresponding weakenirg biological and cultural characters of ethnic groups, ＂nationali- ty＂, as a human group, is on the way in decline.
