The object-oriented technology supplies a satisfying solution for the design of large-scale and complex systems.The object-oriented software development method has remarkable advantages for the establishment of the complete product information model.In this paper,the idea and methods of the object-oriented technology are presented for the design and realization of CAD/CAM systems.
