The artistic features of BAI Ju-yi＇s poems are closely related to his life experience. Therefore, his creating style significantly varies with his unfavorable turns in life. After his demotion to Jiangzhou, his creating style switches from vehemence to leisure. As opposed to his early poems, the poems of leisure are uniquely characteristic in terms of such an art as his choice of images, applications of contrast and creation of artistic conception, all of these above with an ultimate aim to express the poet＇s inner emotion and his obvious tendency of introversion.
