《读书堂集》是近代广东名儒简朝亮的诗文集。以文人之文为例,简朝亮的文章创作广涉书、表、传记、祭文、碑铭文等诸种文体,构成以文叙事、以文怀人两部分内容,反映简朝亮的人生经历与比较独特的文人世界。喜欢引经据典与喜用"也"字,是简朝亮文章创作的主要特色。

Poetry Collection of Reading Hall is the poetry collection of Jian Chaoliang, the famous modern Confucian in Guangdong. Narrative and yearning are the two main parts of his poem in a variety of forms such as biographies, funeral orations, epigraphs and so on, which reveal his life experience and his unique literary world. Quoting from classical works and the use of ＂ye＂ （alas） are the main features of his writing.
