Similarity theories are applied to analyze crane experimental models.Dominating physical parameters for model test are selected,then the dimensional analysis method is used to deduce similarity rules that are required by crane model test.Test conditions are further discussed.As an example,the similarity ratios of a crane model′s physical parameters are calculated to demonstrate their validity.
