语境与生物学功能概念的统一

Context and the Unity of Biological Function

功能话题一直以来都是生物学哲学探讨的焦点问题。从达尔文开始在生物学中确立自然主义的功能概念以来,通过基于不同诉求的哲学讨论,形成了多种版本的生物学功能概念。但近期模态功能概念的提出却似乎偏离了这一传统,加之最近关于神经功能的讨论逐渐成为生物学功能论题的焦点,所以有必要以生物学功能的语境依赖性为基点,就生物学概念的统一性问题展开探讨。

The topic of function has always been a focal issue in philosophy of biology. Since Darwin constructed the naturalistic function concept in biology, various versions of function concept have been conceived by some philo- sophical arguments which are based on different assumptions. But the theory of modal function seems to be aberrant from this tradition, and the topic of neural function has become a hot issue in the discussion of biological function recently, so it is necessary to make an investigation on the topic of unity of biological function concepts based on contextual dependence of biological function.
