摘要
"投入量假设"理论认为投入量越大的任务越能促进词汇的附带习得。文章基于该理论对翻译活动与英语专业学生词汇附带习得之间的关系进行了研究。研究结果进一步证实了投入量假设理论,说明翻译活动能够有效促进英语专业学生的词汇附带习得。
“Involvement Load Hypothesis” predicts that the greater the involvement loads ,the better the retention. Based on the “Involvement Load Hypothesis”,this paper investigates the correlation between translation task and incidental vocabulary acquisition for English majors .The research findings show that the “Involvement Load Hy-pothesis” is effective for this kind of research and the translation task can effectively promote for the incidental vo-cabulary acquisition for English majors .
