摘要
作为"新生代"代表人物之一的贾樟柯,以一系列"小城"电影奠定了自己在国际影坛的地位,并持续吸引着西方的关注。汾阳等"非城非村"的过渡区域,作为中国小城的缩影,成为贾樟柯言说转型期中国的不二之选,以及西方了解和想象"别样中国"的重要窗口。西方视域观照下的"小城"影像呈现出变化、断裂以及迷茫的鲜明特征,它们在某种程度上也使西方关于"当下中国"的想象变得完满。
As a representative of the "New Neneration" , Jia Zhangke has secured a place for himself in internatinal movies with a series of " small town" films and thereby sustained the West's interest in him. As an epitome of a small town in Chi- na, borderlinish areas like Fenyang which are " neither city nor countryside" become Jia's choice with which to illustrate the transformation of China and an important wiindow through which the West learns and speculates about " the other China". While the " small town" images perceived by the West reveal distinct features of change ,disruption and confusion, they en- rich in a way the West's speculations about " contemporary China"
