摘要
旅游文本的翻译质量直接影响着旅游目的地对外推介的效果、外国游客的信息需求和出游决策,进而关系到旅游业,尤其是入境旅游业的健康发展。鉴于目前旅游文本的英译质量参差不齐,本文拟以德国功能学派的翻译目的论为指导,分析旅游文本的功能,结合平行文本从语言风格、信息内容和行文结构三个方面探讨汉英旅游文本存在的差异,并在此基础上以辽宁旅游文本及其英译为研究语料,提出旅游文本英译时可以适当采用删减、增补和改写等策略,以期为提高该类文本的英译质量提供有益的借鉴。
The translation quality of tourist texts has a direct influence on the publicity of tourist attractions, the information demand and the decision making of overseas tourists, and thereby the development of the in-bound tourism. In view of the poor quality of many translated tourist texts, this paper aims to propose strategies for translating Chinese tourist texts into English from the perspective of Skopostheorie put forward by the German functionalist school. The functions of tourist texts are analyzed first, and the differences between Chinese and English texts are then explored with reference to the English parallel text. Ultimately, three translation strategies are put forward based on the analysis of some tourist texts of Liaoning Province and their translations.
