This paper describes the structure and material of brake disks both in China and abroad, as well as its current applications. Besides, the article makes a deep analysis of the structure and material of the brake disk developed domestically for passenger cars. It is pointed out that determining the rational structure and material is very critical to ensure the performance of the brake disk and its reliable application.
