马克思主义认为,社会存在是人类社会存在和发展的基础,其中生产方式是社会发展的决定力量;社会实践是人类社会存在和发展的根本方式,社会生活在本质上是实践的;人民群众是社会存在和发展的主体,是社会历史的创造者。科学发展观的核心是以人为本,这一核心思想坚持、运用和发展了历史唯物主义的基本原理,凸显了历史唯物主义关于社会发展过程中社会存在的基础地位、社会实践的核心地位、人民群众的主体地位的"三位一体"的根本原则和与其内在的一致性,是历史唯物主义中国化的最新成果。深刻理解以人为本的历史唯物主义意蕴以及坚持以人为本和坚持历史唯物主义的内在一致性,对于我们自觉贯彻落实科学发展观具有重要的理论价值和实践意义。

Historical materialism thinks that social existence is the basis of existence and development of hu- man society. The mode of production is the decisive force of social development. In the essence, social life is practical. Social practice is the fundamental way to the existence and development of human society. And the masses are the main body of social existence and development and the creator of social history. The core of the scientific development concept is people-oriented. This ideology insists,applies and develops the basic principles of historical materialism,and stresses the fundamental principle of the＂Trinity＂, that is, the basic status of social existence for historical materialism on the process of social development,the core of social practice, and the subject status of the masses,and its internal consistency. Also,this ideology is the latest achievements of historical materialism in China. A deep understanding of the implication of people-o- riented historical materialism and insisting on being people-oriented and the internal consistency of histori- cal materialism has great theoretical value for us to carry out and implement the scientific development con- cept.
