The 'Eleventh-Five Year' layout for the development of RE industry in Jiangxi province proposed Jiangxi Rare Earth Office and Jiangxi Rare Earth Association held the '2006 rare earth symposium' on 26th of September. The development guideline of rare earth industry in Jiangxi province during 2006-2010 was proposed at the conference. Five industrial chains and five industrial clusters will be formed. The five industrial chains are: (1) RE permanent magnetic materials industrial chain: RE oxides-RE metals-NdFeB magnets-RE permanent magnetic motors and magnetic separators - electric bicycles and electric automobiles, etc; (2) RE luminescent materials industrial chain: middle-heavy RE oxides-RE phosphors-illuminating electrical appliances and displays; (3) RE hydrogen storage materials industrial chain: RE mischmetals-RE hydrogen storage alloy powder-NiMH dynamic batteries-electric bicycles and electric automobiles, etc; (4) middle-heavy RE alloys industrial chain: RE mischmetals-RE iron, RE steel, RE aluminum alloy-components or devices, etc; (5) RE advanced materials industrial chain: RE compounds-new RE
First RE combustion promoter invented
Released by Lianyungang Ligang Rare Earth Industry, the company had successfully developed the first rare earth combustion promoter in China, jointly collaborated with the petroleum chemical faculty of Changzhou University and the Material Science & Engineering College of Nangjing University of Technology.
