The Differences of Undergraduate Education between China and U. S. Reflected from the ISEC Project

摘要 以许昌学院中美国际本科学术互认课程(ISEC)项目为例,从通识教育课程的设置和重视程度、选用教材的特点、教学大纲和教案的格式、教师岗前培训等几个方面比较中美本科教育存在的差异,以期对中国的高等教育改革有所启示。而如何从合作办学中借鉴先进的办学理念、科学的管理模式和高校的教学模式是亟待重视的课题。 Using the ISEC project in Xuchang University as an example, the differences of undergraduate education between China and U. S. were discussed, which perhaps have some enlightenment for China's higher education reform, from several aspects such as the settings and emphasis of general education courses, the characteristics of teaching material, the format of syllabus and lesson plan, and the teachers" pre - service training. How to draw lessons from the advanced educational philosophy, scientific management mode and the teaching model in the cooperation in running schools were to be valued.
