徐杰舜先生在后现代思潮和话语流行的氛围中,在众说纷纭的人类学界,坚持实证,坚持用自己的学术生命去熙亮一片片"小方砖",从《汉民族发展史》到《雪球——汉民族的人类学分析》再到《汉族风俗史》然后到平话人的族群人类学研究、汉民族族群的分子人类学研究,他用一本本著作、一项项成果实践着对于汉民族研究的理论体系的构建。

In the field of anthropology that opinions greatly vary, Mr. XU Jie-shun insists on positivism under the background that post-modem ideological trend and utterance is popular , and persists in lightening pieces of ＂little bricks＂ via his academic life. From 《Ethnic Phylogeny of Han》to 《Snowball Anthropology Analysis about Han》and 《Han＇s Customs History》,from anthropology research about ethnic group of Pinghua dialect people to molecular anthropology research of Han, he has been fulfilling the building ethnic researching theory system of Han through his works and achievements.
