“边缘城市”（ＥｄｇｅＣｉｔｙ）作为发达国家在实现高度城市化之后所带来的郊区化现象的必然产物之一；已引起了越来越多的关注。作者根据国外研究的相关资料和成果，对边缘城市的形成和形态进行了重点的分析和比较；以期为我国今后的城市化建设提供一定的参照。

Edge city,as one of the inevitable products of high urbanizaiton in developed countries,has attracted more and more attention,According to the related data of foreign studies,this paper focuses on the formation and morphology of Edge City which can to provide certain refereces for our urbanization construction.
