摘要
魏源为何屡试不第,历史上一直是个谜。文章以翔实的史料,剖析了魏源为何屡试不第的原因。同时,深刻揭露了科举制度的腐朽黑暗。
Wei Yuan passed the imperial examination at the county level at 15 and the provincial examina- tion at 29. Afterwards, he took part in the metropolitan examination held by the Ministry of Rites for 6 times successively. Unfortunately, he failed in the first five times. Until the 25th year of Daoguang, the 52-year-old Wei Yuan passed the final imperial examination and was enrolled as the 93rd of the third grade. Wei Yuan＇ s failures in passing the examination and becoming a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations re- main a mystery in the history. Based on the full and accurate historical data, this paper analyses the reasons for Wei Yuan＇ s failures and exposes the decadent and unfair imperial examination system profoundly.
