Li Qi and the Xinhai Revolution

在辛亥革命及其后的反袁讨龙斗争中,李萁不是领袖人物,在群伦中也算不上一、二流人物,同时,阳江也不是革命中心地区。李萁的活动,反映出类似阳江这样非中心地区的革命的特点及其与中心地区的关系。研究李萁,可以为辛亥革命史研究提供一个非典型人物、非中心地区的个案,丰富对辛亥革命史的认识和理解。

In the 1911 Revolution and the following battle against Yuan Shikai,Li Qi of Yangjiang wasn't a leader or even an important figure and Yangjiang wasn't a core region of the revolution. The activities of Li Qi reflected the characteristics of the non- core revolutionary regions like Yangjiang and the relationships between them and the core areas. The study of Li can provide an atypical figure in a non- core area of the revolution and deepen a holistic understanding of the Xinhai Revolution.
