The causes and influence of damage of cooling walls in No. 1 BF（420 m3） at SISG were analyzed, and in order to avoid or reduce the water leakage resulted in the cooling of the furnace and the hearth freezing or thickening of furnace wall and other accidents, and achieve stable production, corresponding measures were taken for different water leakage.
