The Anti-Japanese War and the Input of Microfilm into Libraries of China

缩微胶卷输入我国图书馆的时间大致在1940年。战时我国教育文化界对西文书刊的渴求和美国政府的积极推动,分别成为缩微胶卷进入我国图书馆的内外动力。缩微胶卷的接受、分配和管理事宜分别由国际学术文化资料供应委员会和学术资料服务处负责。战时缩微胶卷的输入,不仅促进了我国图书馆事业的技术改进,而且也加强了中外学术文化交流。

The input of microfilm into libraries of China was roughly in 1940. The fact of culture and education society in China being eager for western books and the United States government actively promoting the micro-film into libraries in our country became the internal and external motivation during wartime. The acceptance, distribution, and management issues of microfilm were supplied by the International Academic and Cultural Information Committee and the American Publications Services. The input of microfilm not only promoted the technology improvement of library cause in China, but also strengthened the Chinese and foreign academic and cultural exchanges.
