摘要
坎陷论是现代新儒家第二代重要代表人物牟宗三的重要理论,这一理论虽然不是由李约瑟难题直接引出的,但在学理上也有一定的关联。从坎陷论的视角重新审视,李约瑟难题其实是一个似是而非的问题,原因即在于其对中国文化特质的了解不够充分,而这也正是坎陷论超越于李约瑟难题的地方。一旦明白了这个道理,李约瑟难题也就可以得到化解了。
Self-negation( kan-xian) is an important idea of MOU tsung-san who is a significant representative in second generation of modern Neo-Confucianism. Though the idea is not directly from Joseph Needham puzzle,they still have some theoretical relations to a certain extent. This article reviews Joseph Needham puzzle in the Viewpoint of Self-negation( kan-xian),and reveals the puzzle is really an ambiguous one. The reason why the situation came out is that Joseph Needham had not enough understanding to Chinesecultural characters,which is the point that Self-negation( kan-xian) is above the puzzle. If we know the argument,we could be able to solve Joseph Needham puzzle.
