摘要
文章考察中国英语学习者对程式语的心理表征模式。学习者完成自定步速逐词阅读和逐句阅读两项实验。根据总体英语水平,将学习者分为中等水平和高水平两组受试。研究采用2×2混合实验设计。结果表明:①高水平组以整体形式表征程式语,中等水平组既以整体形式又以分析性形式表征程式语;②程式语结构的完整性没有影响两组被试对程式语的心理表征模式。文章在实验结果的基础上,提出了中国英语学习者对程式语的心理加工与表征模型。
A study has been done on Chinese English learners mental representation mode of English formulaic utterances. Two experiments have been on some Chinese English learners, who were supposed to do two types of self-paced reading, reading word by word and reading sentence by sentence. The learners were divided into two groups according two their english levels, middle and advanced levels. With 2 ×2 mixed experimental design, the experiments had the results of: 1. The learners in advanced level had mental representation of English formulaic utterances with integral form, while the learners in middle level had mental representation of English formulaic utterances with both analytical and integral forms. 2. The structures of English formulaic utterances did not affect the learners mental representation mode of English formulaic utterances. Based on the experimental results, this article put forward the mental processing and representation mode of Chinese English learners to English formulaic utterances.
