端粒和端粒酶的研究 被引量:1

摘要 近年来,端粒和端粒酶成为生命科学研究的热点之一。生物学家将端粒称为"生命时钟",因为在细胞分裂过程中,端粒会发生一定长度的缩短,当端粒不能再缩短时,细胞就无法继续分裂而死亡。无限分裂是癌细胞所具有的显著特征,癌细胞中存在的某种酶使得其端粒不会发生缩短现象,这种酶就是端粒酶。而在人的大多数正常细胞中,端粒酶的活性受到严密的调控。细胞分化成熟后,端粒酶的活性就会渐渐地消失。只有在干细胞和生殖细胞等不断分裂的细胞中,端粒酶才会显现活性。
