摘要
欧洲高等学校分类是一个通过对院校进行描述性的分组比较院校之间的异同,并以此理解高等教育系统多样性的分类工具。笔者与欧洲高等学校分类项目组负责人弗兰斯·范富格特教授就该分类的范式、指标体系、方法、利益相关者协商等问题进行了沟通,分享了欧洲高等学校分类强调多维考察、实证研究、用户导向等经验。范富格特教授也从构建中国高等学校分类的实际情况出发,提出了尊重国情、以实证研究为基础、分阶段构建分类体系等合理建议。
The European Classification of Higher Education Institutions (U-Map) is a classification tool with which to descriptively classify higher education institutions (HEIs), compare and contrast HEIs, and discover the diversity of the HEI system. Professor Frans A. van Vught, head of the U-Map project, and the au- thor discussed the U-Map in terms of its paradigm, dimensions and indicators, method, and negotiation among stakeholders. The dialogue enabled a clearer understanding of the U-Map and the sharing of the multi-dimensional, empirically-oriented and user-driven classification experience. Professor van Vught also provided insightful suggestions for the classification of HEIs in China, namely more consideration of the national conditions, empirical orientation, and in-phase implementation.
