The Social Responsibility of Logic Scholars:Practice and Theoretical Exploration of Improving National Logical Quality

中华民族的复兴离不开国民素质的提高,而逻辑素质是国民素质的核心要素之一。开展提高国民逻辑素质的理论和实践研究是逻辑学者应该担当的社会责任。欧美各国具有重视提高国民逻辑素质的理论和实践探索的传统,这成就了西方近现代科技数百年的辉煌;今天,欧美各国在如何提高国民逻辑素质的理论和实践方面已经形成了一整套完整的体系。在19世纪末20世纪初的民族存亡之际,我国一大批有识之士对提高国民的逻辑素质就有了极为充分的认识。但是,在提高国民逻辑素质的实践方面,则经历了一个曲折发展的历程。新世纪以来,如何提高国民逻辑素质的理论研究再次引起了国家和逻辑学者的高度重视,这为相关的实践探索提供了一个极好的机遇。

The rejuvenation of the Chinese nation depends on the national quality, of which the logical quality is one of the essen- tial parts. It is the logical scholars＇ responsibility to conduct the research of practice and theoretical exploration of improving na- tional logical quality. European countries and the U. S. have the tradition of highlighting the practice and theoretical exploration of improving national logical quality, which brought about the brilliance of the western technology in modern times. Today, a complete system of improving national logical quality has been developed and formed in those countries. When China was at the critical juncture of life and death in the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th century, a number of scholars have become fully aware of the importance of national logical quality; however, they experienced twists in practice. After the new millennium, the theoretical exploration of improving national logical quality has drawn attention from the Chinese government and scholars a- gain, thus providing a good opportunity for the related research of practice.
