摘要 10月中旬,程维去深圳参加了“中国公交都市发展论坛”。作为唯一的移动互联网领域代表,他演讲的题目是《移动互联网推动出租行业变革》。台下,坐着全国数十个城市的交通主管部门领导。 Cheng Wei, CEO and founder of taxi APP company DiDi Dache, has stated that since the DiDi Dache came online in September, it has grown to cover 25 major cities in China with over 200 thousand taxi drivers and nearly 10 million passengers using the APP. In Beijing, taxi bookings have reached 40 thousand a day and accounting for 2% of total cab bookings within the city. In other words, out of every 100 people who call for a cab, 2 of them have decided to use the APP. This stands in sharp contrast to several months ago when Cheng and his APP were viewed as an unwelcome guest by many in the industry. In May of this year, the Shenzhen Department of Transportation suspended the use of taxi-finding APPs because they violated regulations against raising taxi fare prices. In a single night this extremely popular APP was removed from the phones of large number of Shenzhen taxi drivers. However, Cheng has not given up hope, with the popularity of the APP in cities like Beijing and Shanghai, he hopes one day to return to Shenzhen.
