New View on “Physical Education”

对"Physical Education"的缘起与嬗变进行梳理,层析我国体育概念及其本质研究的症结,研究认为:仍将"Physical Education"译为体育来使用,势必会对我国体育理论研究造成更多的混乱和困难;"Physical Education"不再指称为体育,将有利于它在教育体系的复归与定位,也对当下正确认识体育有所助益。

This article sorts out the origin and evolution of ＂Physical Education＂, and analyzes the crux of sports concept and essence. The result shows that： If we still translate ＂Physical Education＂ into Tiyu, it is bound to cause more confusion and difficulties in theoretical research on China＇ s sports. If the ＂Physical Education＂ do not mean Tiyu,it is benefit for the education system＇ s returning and positioning, and it is benefit for our correct understanding of sports at present.
