摘要 Obesity has become a major public health concern worldwide. Obesity is a complex disease influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. Epidemiological studies have indicated that environmental factors, such as excessive energy intake and lack of physical activity, might contribute to the development of obesity. Genetic factors also play an important role in the pathogenesis of obesity Indeed, approximately 40%-70% of the variation in body mass index (BMI) can be attributed to genetic factors.
