摘要
As a nascent regional cooperation body, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization （SCO） has drawn a great deal of attention since its founding. It has made some significant achievements： It has solved almost all the border disputes between China and other parties and effectively controlled terrorism in central Asia; it has facilitated economic cooperation between member states and acted which members can address common as a multilateral mechanism within concerns and work together.
It is generally agreed that the SCO’s emergence and smooth development is because of its members’common interests.Border security,anti-terrorism and economic cooperation are the organization’s three cornerstones.In the future,maintaining regional peace/stability and creating a favorable environment for the sustainable development of the region will continue to be the priorities of the SCO.
