《马克思主义与语言哲学》是巴赫金小组的一部名著,随着巴赫金热在世界范围内的展开,这部著作受到各国学术界的关注。但迄今为止,关于这部名著仍然有许多问题有待解决。第一,关于这部著作的著作权问题始终存在争议。这个问题非常重要,但同时又无法彻底解决,因为无论哪种观点,都缺乏实证材料来加以证实。第二,这部著作的"精神"究竟是不是马克思主义的?它和马克思主义的关系究竟如何?可以说,这部著作符合马克思主义关于语言问题的基本"精神",即强调语言的社会交际功能和社会起源学说。

Marxism and the Philosophy of Language, a well-known work by the Bakhtin Circle, has drawn wide attention among the international scholars engaged in Bakhtin studies and with the Bakhtin boom that goes on in the world, Bakhtinnology has also started to attract the attention of international academic circle. Up till now, however, there still exist many problems concerning this famous work. First, authorship of the work is still in dispute, which is an important issue and yet can not be thor- oughly resolved, since not a party involved can prove that he is the sole genuine author. Second, is the spirit of the work truly Marxism？ What＇s the relation between the work and Marxism？ It can be said that the work is in line with the basic spirit of Marxism regarding language issue, that is, laying stress on the social communicative function of language as well as on social origin of language.
