This paper introduces laser cleaning principle and device of gold_plating thin film on optical substrate surface. By using laser machining device, laser cleaning experiments of gold_plating thin film on optical glass surface have been studied, laser cleaning threshold and damage threshold of gold_plating thin film have been obtained.
