Objective To explore the clinical significance of changes of serum S-100β protein level of vascular cogni- tive impairment no dementia (VCIND) patients. Methods The case-control study was used in this study. Sixty VCIND pa- tients were selected as the case group and thirty health physical examination person were selected as control group. The serum S-100β protein level of all cases were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Results The serum S-10β protein level was(0,697 ±0.478) μg . L-1 in case group and (0. 375 ±0. 248)μg . L-1 in control group;the serum S-100β protein level in case group was significantly higher than that in control group ( t = 2.93,P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion The detection of ser- um S-100β protein has important significance to the early discovery the VCIND patients.
