In the modern era of the "anaerobic battlefield," strength traimng for the warfighter is challenged by past training philosophies. Training approaches for integration of strength with other needed physical capabilities have been shown to require a periodization mode] that has the flexibility for changes. The flexible nonlinear pro- ~ appro^h is able to adapt to ever - ch^ging circumstanees, which ean improve the quality of workouts. Ex- cessive endurance training wi]] produce the negative influences. In military physieai readiness training, the train- ing approaches should be update to match the functional demands of modem warfare. An ideal training program that enhances strength, power, and functional capabilities using training technologies and methods is a harrowing process. The developing facilities and programs reflective of the elite athlete in strength and power sports befitting of the modem warfighter. The physical training program of the modern warfighter will accurately reflect the mission requirements of each military occupational specialty, while maintaining resilience and long- term health.
