后奥运时代,逐渐兴起的是群众体育热潮和人们日渐高涨的体育兴趣,作为构建社会主义和谐社会的重要一环,社区体育的发展备受人们的关注。由于各种主客观因素,我国的社区体育发展现状并不乐观,尤其是在经济发展速度相对滞后的少数民族地区,社区体育的发展才属于一个起步阶段,因此要想更好的开发少数民族地区的社区资源,就应结合当地实际,大胆创新,将少数民族地区人们熟悉的少数民族项目作为社区体育的新资源进行创新式的开发与普及。
