“车两(辆)”与“车乘”

名量式合成词的大量出现应在量词和双音节词都发展较为成熟的魏晋南北朝时期,通过类推方式产生;但个别用法可能在先秦时期就已出现,通过"名+一量"省略"一"词化而成。"车乘"在先秦已成词,"车两"在汉代成词,之间经过了"车乘/车两—车乘—车辆"的用法演变过程,现代汉语中只用"车辆"。
