Water-saving society establishment in Daxing District:achievement and experience

北京市大兴区于2008年被水利部列为全国第三批节水型社会建设试点地区。试点期内,大兴区加大产业结构调整及用水结构调整力度,发展低耗水、高附加值的现代产业,加大污染扰民企业的搬迁改造步伐;通过强化再生水利用调度,在工业、农业和生态环境用水中推广再生水,提高了水资源利用水平。

Daxing District in Beijing Municipality was listed in the third group of pilot projects for water-saving society establishment by the Ministry of Water Resources in 2008. During the implementation of pilot project, Daxing District put great emphasis on the adjustment of industrial structure and water use pattern, development of modern industries with low water consumption and high added value and speeding up of relocation and re-modernization of heavy polluted and resident disturbing factories. Other measures include encouraging utilization of reclaimed water and widely application of recycled water in industries, agriculture and eco-environment, and efficient use of water resources.
