随着改革和发展的不断深入,我国已进入深层转型期,对党和政府的社会整合功能与社会管理功能提出严峻挑战。而统一战线的目标、原则与价值体系,都决定了其在目前的社会整合中具有独特的作用。从当今中国社会的全新变化出发,在理论和实践层面不断挖掘统一战线的整合和管理职能,不仅有利于统一战线获取新的生命力,而且有利于丰富社会建设和社会管理的手段与途径。

With the continuous deepening of the reform and development, China has entered a new stage of profound transition, during which the CPC and the Government~ functions of social integration and social administration are fa cing severe challenges. The United Front plays a unique role in current social integration due to its objectives, princi ples and values. We shall, on the basis of new social changes in China, constantly discover the United Front integra tive and administrative functions in theoretical and practical terms, thus enabling the United Front to gain new vitality and enriching the ways of social construction and social administration.
