参见系统是辞典的重要组成部分,是沟通辞典中错综复杂的信息的纽带。它通过各种方式连缀条目,把被分割开的各个知识点串联成一个有机的整体,同时为读者提供求知线索,使读者接触更多相关的文化或语义信息。文章对参见系统的定义、功能、种类、表现形式做一概述,并以《朗文当代英语大辞典》为例,分析参见系统如何体现丰富的语义文化信息。

The reference system is an important part of a dictionary that links the complicated types of information in the dictionary. Through various means, it combines the separated knowledge points in the dictionary,offers readers cues to seek knowledge,and enable them to know more cultural or semantic information. This paper,using Longman Dictionary of English Language and Culture as an example,introduces the definition,functions,categories,and forms of representation of the reference system dictionaries and analyzes how the reference system has reflected the rich semantic and cultural information of the entries.
