评人民教育出版社版《汉语图画字典》——兼谈积极型汉外字/词典的编纂和出版

文章评介人民教育出版社版《汉语图画字典》,指出其特色及不足,并据此探讨积极型汉外字/词典的编纂和出版。文章认为,《汉语图画字典》作为国内外为数极少的积极型汉英字典,在该类词典的编纂和出版方面进行了卓有成效的探索,也为中国文化"走出去"做出了应有的贡献,值得其他同类字/词典学习,但该字典所反映出来的一些问题,也值得辞书界及出版界人士深思。

This paper reviews Chinese Picture Dictionary published by the People's Education Press in 2008,pointing out its strengths and weaknesses and discussing the compilation and publication of active C-E dictionaries on this basis. It argues that as one of the few active C-E character dictionaries both at home and abroad,Chinese Picture Dictionary has made outstanding achievements in the compilation and publication of such dictionaries and has contributed duly to China's efforts to make its culture international. However,the problems in this dictionary also deserve the attention of dictionary compilers and publishers.
