This paper summarized several common pile foundation detection methods in highway engineerin~ it introduced the basic principle of low strain reflected wave method and ultrasonic detection method, and their existing problems and limitations in the practical application. Based on the engineering examples,it put forward the corresponding countermeasure and the suggestion,provided the reference for the foundation pile detection oersonnel.
