The paper systematically reviewed the line design of Shenyang subway Line 2 first-stage project and the overall design, summarized and reflected on the experience of preplanning and presented advice for urban rail transit from preplanning up to later-stage implementation according to the design modifications, such as strengthening project planning and management, introducing the concept of design speed and operation speed, etc.
