Walking into Ayimake After learning that a village in Aksu City of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region might be the Dolan people’s potential place of origin,I enthusiastically embarked on my quest to explore the region with a mind imploding of questions.After a vigorous trek through the wastelands of the Yarkant River and northern Taklimakan desert,I finally discovered the sparsely populated ancient village of Ayimake.Scattered about the Sebkha area,villagers here thrived on farming。
