Reflections on Connotative Development of Regional Ethnic Universities

内涵式发展是新时期高等教育发展的主要任务。区域性民族院校在谋划自身发展时,必须把握经济社会发展的时代背景,特别是民族区域经济社会发展对高等教育的需要与期待,转变观念,科学定位。把自身发展与区域经济社会发展有机结合;把强化办学特色与大学功能的发挥有机结合;把深化体制改革与增强办学活力有机结合。高校只有在区域经济社会发展中充分彰显不可替代的价值,才是真正的内涵式发展。

Connotative development is the main task of higher education development in the new time. In order to push forward the connotative development, regional ethnic universities should make plans of self-development according to economic and social development, especially according to the needs and expectation of ethnic regions for higher education. Efforts should be made to change ideas, make orientation in a scientific way, and make organic combinations between self-development and regional economic and social development, between enhancing school-running characteristics and university functions, and between system reform and school-running vitality. Only when universities display their irreplaceable value in regional economic and social development, can they realize connotative development.
