摘要
本文采取实证定量问卷的方法考察了对云南省跨境民族学生三语教育的态度。调查发现:云南跨境民族学生在三语教育中,具有很强的民族身份认同和自信心,认为自己不仅能学好自己的民族语,还能学好汉语和英语,但自己的汉语水平和英语水平亟待提高;对三语教育的成效给予了充分肯定,赞同三语教育能促进跨境民族地区的民族团结、稳定和安全以及社会和经济发展。
This paper presents a research project on the attitudes of trilingual (ethnic mother tongue, Mandarin Chinese and English) education of ethnic minority students in cross-border areas of Yunnan Province. The subjects, obtained from a stratified sampling, are 3905 ethnic minority students of elementary, secondary and tertiary levels from 27 schools and universities in cross-border areas of Yunnan Province. Four instruments were used including two semi-close-ended questionnaires and two 5-point Likert-scale questionnaires. They included 40 items regarding the subjects' language background, the situation and conditions of trilingual education and attitude towards it, based essentially on the Trilingual Education Survey Scale of Adamson & Feng (2009). Frequency analysis and descriptive analysis of SPSS 17.0 were made for the data to explore the attitude and examine the effect of demographic features. The results showed that 1 ) the subjects had a strong ethnic self-identity and positive attitude towards English learning in the context of trilingual education, however, they were badly in need to improve both their Mandarin Chinese and English; and 2) they all agreed that trilingual education contributed greatly to the stability, safety, ethnic unity and economic development in cross-border ethnic areas of Yunnan Province.
