The Dual Education Function of Ethnic Folk Narratives Under the Background of Urbanization——An Analysis of the Case of Beijing Hui Folk Tale“the Legend of Niujie”

内地都市的少数民族人口日益增多,在此背景下,少数民族民间叙事的教育功能应引起重视。京城回族《牛街的传说》这一个案表明,民间故事对历史事件进行了选择与重构,具有促进民族民俗文化传承、强化民族团结的双重教育功能。杰罗姆·布鲁纳文化心理学叙事理论为民间叙事这种教育功能的机制提供了理论支撑。

The ethnic population is rapidly growing, so the educational functions of ethnic folk narratives should be paid attention to under this background. The case of Hui folk tale ＂the legend of Niujie＂ shows that ethnic folk narratives are formed on the selection and reconstruction of historical events, hence can be of the dual educational functions, that is, to help transmit ethnic folk cultural heritage, and to strengthen interethnic unity. Jerome Bruner＇s cultural psychology narrative theory provides the theoretical support for the dual educational functions of ethnic folk narratives.
