Culture teaching is unavoidable in language teaching activities. More and more college English educators have realized the importance of culture teaching. According to the characteristics of independent colleges and their students, this paper explores the necessity of culture teaching, the principles of culture teaching and the approaches of culture teaching on the basis of teaching practice of college English.
