摘要
利用2006年中国综合调查(CGSS)数据,采用社会定量模型,对中国从业者职业晋升情况的性别差异进行实证研究,考察女性在职业晋升中的"玻璃天花板"效应是否真实存在及其程度大小。结果表明,性别歧视可能是导致中国现存劳动力市场男女晋升机会不均等的重要原因之一,且女性职业晋升中的"玻璃天花板"效应依然存在。
Using large-scale data from CGSS2006 (individual volumes), this study aims to assess the "glass ceiling" effect and determining factors in career advancement among Chinese women. The results show that gender-based discrimination may well be one of the important factors that contribute inequality in career advancement between men and women in China's labour markets. The "glass ceiling" effect still exists in women's career advancement.
