A Comparison between Hardy and Atwood from the Ecological Perspective

人本主义思想强化了人的作用和地位,忽略了人与自然的关系和自然的地位和作用。随着人类的过度开发,生态环境问题显得越来越严峻,渐渐成为文学所关注的主题。生态批评也成为文学研究领域一种最新也最具活力的跨学科研究和批评方法。从生态批评的视角来展开文本比较研究,深入挖掘哈代生态观与阿特伍德生态思想的异同点,有一定的研究意义。以此来探讨新时期的人与自然关系问题,谋求人类发展和生态系统平衡的和谐共生关系。

The humanism emphasizes human beings ＇ power and status while neglects nature ＇ s power and status and the relationship between human beings and nature. With human being＇ s overexploitation of the nature, environmental problems are getting worse and worse, and gradually has been the theme of literature. Ecological criticism has also become a kind of new and dynamic interdisciplinary research method in literature research. This paper aims to find out the similar and different points between Hardy and Atwood about their ecological ideas by analyzing their works.
