As a part of college English teaching, translation teaching plays a very. important role. it is necessartion to improve the translation ahility of non-English majors for the development of the times. Based on the present situatitan of students, the paper aims to improve the translation ability, of students through extension, amplification, omissiam and other translation strategies to achieve the best effect under the guidance of the functional equivalence theory.
