Aiming to the purchasing management link in supply chain, based on the purchasing management theory on supply chain, from the perspective of supply chain management the mate- rial purchase status and characteristics of oil drilling corporations are analyzed, and the improvement plan of material purchase for oil drilling corporations under the supply chain managing model is put forward. From aspects as long-term strategic partner, optimiz- ing provider management and adopting available management measures some suggestions are advanced
